Hey, welcome back to the Going Places newsletter!

Before we dive into your career clarity plan in today’s issue, here’s a fun update:

OK, now, put a finger down if:

  • You’re constantly hopping onto LinkedIn on your lunch break to finally start applying for the dream role, just to minimize the window, overwhelmed by all of your random search results.

  • You’ve worked at your company for so long that you’re afraid you can’t operate anywhere else.

  • You’ve been updating your resume so it’s “perfect,” without knowing what kind of jobs you’ll even apply for.

  • Everyday at 3pm, you take an exhausted breath before the next meeting that’s going to add more BS to your plate, and you think, “This can’t be the job I was running toward in my teens and twenties. This, really?”

  • You’re not using your brain anymore, but the thought of “starting over” is daunting and scary.

If any of these statements felt like a personal attack, that’s OK- you’re in the right place.

Here in the Going Places club, we don’t punish ourselves for our pasts, because we know our potential never expires.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve helped hundreds of overachieving and under-fulfilled millennials figure out what they need next in their careers (and lives). Hell, I’ve been that girl having the career identity crisis myself!

So what I know is: if you’re having a career identity crisis, you have six options for what to do next.
